Upon signing in to the system you land on the “Progress” tab. This is the default home screen. The other tabs are listed in the menu bar at the top of the page and include 'Progress', 'Contractors', 'Roles’, ‘Reporting’ , 'Settings' and 'Logout' options.
Progress view allows you to track the stages of your recent reviews.
Started: you have started either a role based review or added a new contractor into the system
Awaiting Contractor: waiting for a contractor to complete questions
Awaiting Review: awaiting review from Kingsbridge or sign off by an assigned person
Awaiting SDS Distribution: A contractor’s status has been assessed and you’re now required to send the SDS through the supply chain
Awaiting SDS Acceptance: the SDS distributed has not yet been accepted by a party in the supply chain
Complete: The entire process has been completed and a contractor is ready to place
'Progress tab' key
Your default home screen will be your ‘Dashboard’. The top of your page includes a menu bar featuring 'Dashboard' (your home page), 'Contractors', 'Roles', 'Settings' and 'Logout' options. Your dashboard also includes a ‘Progress’ tab where you’re able to track the stage of any review.
To start a role based assessment select the ‘Roles’ tab within the navigation menu at the top of the page.
Once on the page, select the ‘New Role’ box in the top right of the page.
Input the desired Role name / reference, engagement length and day rate (if required) for the contractors being placed.
If sign off on the role assessment is required, select the ‘Add Sign-off user’ button at the bottom of the page and select the desired option from the list of sign off users. If you need to add a sign off user please see the “Add User” section below.
At this point you can also request a manual review by the Kingsbridge IR35 team. Please be specific in which questions you wish Kingsbridge to review.
Select save to move on in the process.

If the intention is to have a manual review conducted on the answers provided, any additional notes or evidence needs to be submitted into the ‘Notes/Evidence’ tab within each question.
The overall result of the ‘Role’ will be displayed clearly within the grey box on the right side of the page under the heading ‘Overall Result’. You can also view the outcome on the sliding scale, showing outside (Green), Borderline (Grey) or Inside (Red) IR35.
The deemed payment calculation is calculated and listed under the heading ‘Potential Financial Exposure’.
A quick view of the initial result breakdown can be viewed under the heading ‘Result Breakdown’. This gives a further breakdown of the status, assessing the performance across the different areas of IR35.
You can also download a report which will take you through all the questions, how you have answered them and how that as affected the overall outcome. To do this select the ‘Download Report’ option.
Green answers represent a positive outcome.
Red answers represent a negative outcome of the overall result.
If you need to change any of the questions you have already answered, you can update them by selecting the ‘reopen assessment’ button and repeating the process.
If sign off process is applicable:
Select the ‘Add Sign-off user’ button towards the bottom of the page. From the pre-selected drop-down list of sign-off users, select the desired option. This can also include a manual review by Kingsbridge.
All completed Role Based Assessment will be stored within the Dashboard>Progress Tab>Completed list.

Select the ‘Contractors’ tab from the menu
Ensure the correct client is selected from the dropdown menu that you wish to apply this contractor to. All contractors who have previously been loaded into the system will be visible on this page.
To enter a new contractor for assessment, select the ‘New Contractor’ button in the top right of the page.
Input the contractors details and press the ‘Save’ button. Select 'New Assessment''.
If you are applying a previously assessed ‘Role’ to this contractor, select a ‘Role’ from the drop-down menu and press the ‘Apply’ button. This will update the engagement details and questions from the previously assessed role.
NOTE – this information can still be updated as required.
If you’re not applying a previously assessed role to the contractor, leave the drop-down menu as ‘Choose’.
You can either fill the contractor specific answers in yourself or you can send them directly to the contractor. If the contractor is sent questions, they will be sent to the email address previously provided.
If sign off process is applicable, select the ‘Add Sign-off user’ button at the bottom of the page and select the desired option from the list of sign off users. This can also include a manual review by Kingsbridge.
Once the engagement details have been completed, press the save button.

NOTE:
If you’re applying a pre-reviewed role to the contractor, you simply need to proceed and check each question is still relevant for the contractor by selecting ‘next’ through the ‘submit answers’ button.
If you’re NOT applying a role to the contractor, you’ll then be required after completing the steps above, to answer the questions about the role for this contractor.
Select the contractors tab to view a list of all contractors who have been entered into the tool. Find the contractors name and select ‘New Assessment’ in the coloured box in the top right.
If you are applying a previously assessed ‘Role’ to this contractor, select a ‘Role’ from the drop-down menu and press the ‘Apply’ button. This will update the engagement details and questions from the previously assessed role.
Note - If you’re not applying a previously assessed role to the contractor, leave the drop-down menu as ‘Choose’.

All completed Role Based Assessment will be stored within the Dashboard > Progress Tab > Completed list.
The overall result of the ‘Contractor Assessment’ either with an applied role or not will be displayed clearly within the grey box on the right side of the page under the heading ‘Overall Result’. It will be on a scale of outside (green), Borderline (grey) or Inside (red) IR35.
Once the contractor has completed their question set, the assessment is sent to the preselected parties for review.
The individuals reviewing the assessment will be able to agree or disagree with the answers and have the ability to comment on each question with relevant evidence where necessary.
Once the reviewer and all other parties are satisfied, they simply need to select the ‘Finalise Review’ button.

The green box underneath the results section provides the ability to distribute the SDS to the contractor and supply chain where necessary.
From the preselected list of contacts, select the party from the drop-down menu and select the ‘save’ button within the green box.
This will change the status to ‘Sent’ which means the SDS has been sent to the party you selected.
When the party chain member accepts the SDS, the ‘status’ column will update and log the date it was accepted. The assessment process is now complete.

If you opt to reopen an assessment, change any answers, and resubmit it, this will disregard the previous assessment made and issue a new one.
This will start the assessment process again as above. The SDS will then need to be distributed again.

Under the ‘Settings’ heading within the menu, you will have the ability to add users to both your own portal and as SDS sign off users. Select the ‘users’ button and press the ‘new user’ button at the top of the page.
Proceed to input the person’s name and email before electing what type of log-in access you wish to give the user. A standard user will be able to login and see all their contractors and assessments. SDS users will never receive a login but will be available to select as recipients of SDS documents. Once complete, select ‘create’ to finish.
